EXPERIENCE:
Paul Ness began his appraisal career in 1984 working as a residential appraiser for a savings and loan association in Florida. He was eventually promoted to chief appraiser and opened two new appraisal branch offices in West Palm Beach and Boca Raton. From 1987 to 1997, Paul was employed by commercial appraisal firms in south-central Pennsylvania, where he gained valuable experience in the Lancaster and York County markets. In 1997, Paul accepted the position of appraisal review officer for a regional bank holding company where he gained extensive knowledge of banking regulations. He formed Ness Associates in 2006.
In addition to being a Pennsylvania State Certified General Appraiser (#GA-000047-L), Paul is also a member of the National, Pennsylvania and Lancaster County Associations of Realtors. In 1997, he earned the MAI designation awarded by the Appraisal Institute (#11324). The MAI designation is widely recognized as the premier professional designation among commercial appraisers. Paul has served the Central Pennsylvania Chapter of the Appraisal Institute as President, Vice President, Board member, Experience Review Committee member, Candidate Guidance Chair and Education Chair.
Paul has appraised a wide variety of property types, including office buildings, shopping centers, warehouses, manufacturing buildings, commercial condominiums, commercial/industrial land, hotels, apartments, subdivisions and many types of special purpose properties.
